New ways of being church

During this time of social isolation to fight the virus, our church building itself is closed. Our church family is not!! We want to use this opportunity to connect with God, each other and the community in new ways. Worship will continue in new ways. We continue in our mission to Praise, Nurture and Serve… Ways to connect are detailed on this page.

Hi Thrivers! We are well-being again this week, thinking about openness to positive change for our wellbeing, with a growth mindset rather than a fixed mindset. So vital as lockdown lethargy is rampant, because we are emotionally worn out or bored. Nick is thinking about Matthew 11: 25-30 in his talk, so let’s watch that and discuss at 4.
Date: 17 January, 2021
Time: 15:55
New Time! New Theme! At 4pm we begin discussing Wellbeing, with the contributions that Christians and the Bible make to our current problems. Start by listening to Nick’s morning talk yourself, before we meet. We will discuss and pray together, with some music to help us. So, not a ‘service’ as such but mainly a discussion, or just listen in as you wish.

Connect with the Community of Soul Friends

A rhythm of prayer is the bedrock of our life with God. It does not have to be onerous and should not be guilt-inducing, although it will take a bit of time to develop a new habit. The Community of Soul Friends offers this simple rhythm of prayer: morning, noon and night which is intended as a starting point and as an aid to creating space for God in the midst of busy lives. There is also a shorter form of prayer available. Click ‘Read our Daily Prayer‘ to access both versions
