New ways of being church

During this time of social isolation to fight the virus, our church building itself is closed. Our church family is not!! We want to use this opportunity to connect with God, each other and the community in new ways. Worship will continue in new ways. We continue in our mission to Praise, Nurture and Serve… Ways to connect are detailed on this page.

Thrive - Online Event

This requires zoom using your devices camera and microphone. Please read our instructions and ask if you need help.

Date: 27 September, 2020
Time: 18:25
Thriving again either distanced at St Davids or via Zoom, this week we continue to think about what it means to remain steadfast to Jesus in testing times. Do read James 2: 13 first for a better discussion; fascinating stuff for this week’s discipleship. Join us either way.

Instructions for Online Worship streams

  • All you need is to click on the link listed to join the online worship
  • You can download the Service Card we will be using before the worship starts
  • Click Open Service Card to open prayers on your device
  • TIP! Join without video and then mute your microphone. This means nobody will see or hear you - you can just listen in. If you don't mute your microphone, people will hear you.
  • If you need help with this, let us know and someone from church will help you.

Our monthly cycle of prayer

We pray for our community throughout the month. Today we are praying for:

All those who work in the parish.
All those who donate to and volunteer to help raise money for our church.

Join us in daily prayer at home.

Or perhaps you would like a 'soul friend?'

Connect with the Community of Soul Friends

A rhythm of prayer is the bedrock of our life with God. It does not have to be onerous and should not be guilt-inducing, although it will take a bit of time to develop a new habit. The Community of Soul Friends offers this simple rhythm of prayer: morning, noon and night which is intended as a starting point and as an aid to creating space for God in the midst of busy lives. There is also a shorter form of prayer available. Click ‘Read our Daily Prayer‘ to access both versions
